He created his AJ Table Lamp (1960) to echo the oblique angles of his Series 3300 furniture, which included the Egg Chair and Swan Chair. To maximize functionality, Jacobsen designed this lamp with a shade that tilts up or down. The AJ Lamp was designed for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen, for which Jacobsen designed every element.
